the first masterpiece from the boston-based cerberus shoal. experimental post-kraut? they sound like no other band i've ever heard. their sound is so distinct, and they make it work without sounding at all contrived. middle eastern scales, horns, guitars, epic structures. kinda like if godspeed ditched the anarchocapitalist stuff, got baked, and uncovered every lost krautrock classic. highly, highly, highly recommended. 1999.
