here's an obscure treat. aavikko is a swedish band that plays quirky synth based music. lo-fi (like, recorded to cassette lo-fi) instrumental electronic disco/mumba/surf rock with a yamaha pss home organ, along with drums, guitar, and bass. the sound quality isn't bad at all, especially for being recorded analog. there are tons of cool melodies and grooves. it kinda sounds like videogame music, but surprisingly it's not cheesy or lame. check it out! compilation of some non album material. 2003.
